The employee shall focus on customers' expectations, preventing problems, and continuously improving results for themselves, customers, and other employees.
The employee will provide support in developing and implementing quality programs, including tracking, analyzing, reporting, and problem solving.
The employee takes a lead role in developing and maintaining a work environment that fosters employee participation and performance to Heraeus standards.
Your Role and
Responsibilities:
Manages all operations and personnel in the Analytical and SWEEPS laboratories Responsible for providing a positive example and daily guidance to all staff.
Assures that documented methods are always followed Work closely with other Heraeus laboratories to ensure best in class methods are utilized, optimized, and aligned with Heraeus worldwide methods as appropriate Work with the ESH, Production, R&D and Quality departments to ensure all materials are handled to the specifications of the customer Maintain open and timely communication with all analytical lab stakeholders Determine and maintain the budget necessary for the department to assure that adequate funds are allocated for the provision of efficient and effective Establishes, schedules, and conducts a training plan for lab staff Determines appropriate methods working with staff to create and/or modify methods.
Assures all methods are properly documented according to Heraeus QA/QC policies What is required for this role:
BS in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry, MS preferred, Wet Chemistry.
3
years' experience in Analytical Chemistry, preferably in Precious Metals analysis.
Experience in SAP.
Experience in pyrometallurgical engineering is a plus.
Instrumentation Laboratory:
3
years' experience Analytical Chemistry with heavy focus on instrumental analysis including ICP and AAS.
Previous experience in managing laboratory operations.
Experience with ISO systems and conducting audits.
